Correct attachment of the ring mounts will affect your shooting performance and accuracy. The red dot sight is carefully centered before shipment and will provide with a maximum amount of windage (left and right) and elevation (up and down) adjustment when mounted as close as possible to the center line of the bore. With the supplied wrench, loosen the right sufficiently so that they can be fit to the Weaver-style base on your gun or crossbow. Take care to assure that the cross-bolt on the bottom of the ring mount fits into the grooves provided in the top of Weaver-style base. Tighten the bolts so that the red dot is secured to the Weaver-style vase, but can still be slid forward ,backward, and rotated. Your red dot has unlimited eye relief. However, you should mount the red dot so that there is a minimum of 3 inches clearance between your eye and the red dot when in the shooting position. The red dot should also be rotated so the elevation adjustment is on top. All mounting screws should then be carefully tightened. For additional security, a drop of the thread-locking fluid can be added to the screws.
